Join us for our conference in Bristol!

The event is a wonderful opportunity to connect with others, and to hear from knowledgeable and inspiring speakers including parents and DC adults. We’ll also have our popular Meet & Connect session over lunch, so you can talk to others about the things that are important to you.

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁?
* People considering donor conception: If you haven’t had children yet, this is a great opportunity to hear from people who have been down this road already, as well as meet others at a similar stage.
* Parents of donor conceived children: If you’ve had children this is a chance to meet other parents, to share experiences and get support.
* Professionals in the field: Please do join us for an informative and thought-provoking event.

The full programme will be confirmed soon and will include:

**Bethan’s story:** hear from Bethan, parent in a two-mum family who also donated her eggs as part of their treatment
**DC adults:** we’ll be hearing from donor conceived people, sharing their thoughts on donor conception, family and genetic connections
**‘Meet and connect’ lunch:** get to know other members
**Ruth Wilde:** hear from Ruth, a fertility counsellor for over 20 years, who will be describing some of the challenges she’s seen parents navigate and sharing what can help

𝗔 𝗗𝗖𝗡 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀’ 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁
This is an event for DCN members but it’s really easy to join us and only costs £7 per month (and less if you are on a lower income). Simply book your place on the event and we will send you a link to our joining form; there’s no fixed contract term for membership and you can cancel at any time, we just ask that you stay a member until the event takes place. Unfortunately, we’re unable to accommodate children at our Autumn conference, aside from babes-in-arms (0-6m) due to the cost of childcare. If you have children and would like them to meet others or have children aged 8-13 who would like to participate in one of our children’s activities, please do look at coming to our Spring London conference on the 19th April 2026 where we run these events.

𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀: it’s really important to us that our conferences and events provide a safe, confidential space for us to discuss what can be very personal matters. We therefore do not allow journalists or media to attend unless they are joining in a personal capacity as a parent or prospective parent via donor conception or are a donor conceived adult. Furthermore, everything discussed within our events is confidential and may not be reported or shared outside of the event. We may therefore have to refund tickets from those who do not meet these criteria. If you would like to discuss this with us before booking, please do give us a call on +44(0)20 7278 2608.

Please use this form to book a place for all **adults** who would like to attend our conference on Saturday 4th October 2025. Book **one ticket** per person attending.

Please book any babies 0-6 months as babe-in-arms (FREE) so we know how many are attending.

Do provide additional information that you’d like us to know in the comment boxes in the booking form, including dietary and accessibility needs.

Refreshments (tea, coffee and biscuits) and a catered sandwich lunch are provided. We are able to provide vegetarian, vegan, dairy free and gluten free options if booked in advance – please indicate if you require this on your form. Unfortunately, we are not able to cater to other dietary requirements.

Yorkshire - Camping trip

Invitation from the event organiser: The Yorkshire branch of the DCN are coming together for a camping w/e for 2 nights – on 20-22 June. June at Masons Campsite, Yorkshire Dales. There are many regular attenders as we’ve been coming together for our camping w/e for many years now but we really welcome new members. It’s a lovely campsite by the river with lots of space so bikes, swimming togs and wetsuits all welcome.

North London - DCN Summer Picnic

You are warmly invited to a DCN/North London summer picnic, which will take place on Sunday 22nd June in Golders Hill Park, North London. Although this event is in North London it is open to everyone. We’ll be sitting under our usual tree next to the bandstand. If you come through the North End Way entrance, with the café on your right, head in a direct line towards the bandstand and you will find us. We will put balloons on the tree. Please register if you are interested. This means we can know rough numbers, and can also communicate easily if the weather means plans need to be updated. Bring a picnic and a rug. If you have kids, bring them along and some games to share. Members at any stage of the DC process are invited, especially those who’ve joined recently. Singles, couples, people considering treatment, pregnant or parents with children – all are welcome.

Ethnicity in donor conception

This DCN chat is an opportunity to come together to talk about the issue of ethnicity in donor conception. This may be relevant if you are undertaking treatment with a donor of a different ethnicity, where ethnicity shows up in your donor decision-making process or where your child’s external appearance differs significantly to you (or you and your partner). This DCN Chat is open to all, but please note that the intention of this discussion is to hold a space for people who are experiencing challenges and successes within this realm and to offer the opportunity to share these in a peer-support forum. There is no right or wrong and we would ask that anyone who joins does so with the intention of being extremely respectful with this somewhat sensitive issue. DCN Chat is a peer support online get-together. This DCN Chat will be hosted by Mariam. All our DCN Chat facilitators are members themselves, and hosting the chat as individuals. ANNUAL Solo Mums Picnic 28/6/25 – 20 years old!

ANNUAL Solo Mums Picnic 28/6/25 – 20 years old! ******** The first Solo Mums Picnic was in 2005, attended by about a dozen of us plus assorted children. In those days, there was a paddling pool and an entrance fee, now we’ve got a cocktail bar and free entry… The crowd has grown to 60+, from thinkers and tryers to pregnant women and mums with little ones, and some bigger ones too, as well as the occasional Grandma! Some have travelled as far as Ireland or Belgium, others from round the corner. Generally lucky with the weather, we try to find shade, spread out the blankets and have a great time. The playground provides for those who like to climb & swing, the lawns allow for a bit of frisbee or ball play, and for the rest of us to loll around in the sun and make connections that last for years, sharing tips and tricks and anecdotes…

Manchester / North West England - meetup

Local volunteer Dena has arranged a picnic for DCN members on Sunday, 29 June at 12pm at Didsbury Park, and would love for you to join! 📍 Meeting Point: On the grass just behind the children’s play area. Look out for a blanket and some snacks! I will have a small bunch of balloons as well, as a marker 📍 Address: Didsbury Park, Wilmslow Road, Didsbury, Manchester M20 5LS 🚗 Parking Options: Parking is free on a Sunday on the surrounding roads. I will be bringing food, but feel free to bring along whatever you’d like to eat or drink. There is an indoor cafe as well, in case it rains, a good play area, and usually an ice cream van. This is a DCN chat for single women considering or in treatment to become solo mums, considering or using double or embryo donation. This chat offers a space for discussion and peer support. This chat will be facilitated by Kerry, solo mum through double donation. All our facilitators are solo mums in the Network. This is not a professionally led or educational event with set objectives, rather this is a space for sharing and meeting others at the same or a similar stage of the journey.
