Telling and talking

Talking about donor conception can feel daunting but we’ve been helping families for 30 years.

We know from experience that getting started with telling and talking can feel challenging. When is the best age to start the conversation? What words should I use? Will they understand what I’m telling them and what response should I expect? What about children of different ages and different developmental stages? How can I build my confidence in our family story?

These are all important questions and we have been exploring the answers since 1993. We’ve developed Telling and Talking workshops, published books – including the Our Story books for children – and created a range of resources and services to help you navigate these essential conversations.
