DCN professional membership is a great way for professionals in the field of assisted reproduction to stay informed on all the key issues around donor conception.

Whether you are an embryologist, nurse, counsellor, doctor, andrologist, administrator in a fertility clinic, GP, paediatrician or any kind of mental health professional, you play an important role in a couple or individual’s journey to parenthood and we are delighted you’re here.

Using donor conception is much more than just taking the next logical step to making a baby once it is clear that would-be parents’ own gametes are not viable.  It is helping to build a different sort of family, one where there will be at least one non-genetically connected parent.  We aim to involve all professionals in supporting parents in acknowledging this difference and preparing to take on the responsibilities associated with parenting by donor conception.

We offer professional membership of DCN to anyone who works in the field of donor conception. It’s a great way to ensure you understand the particular implications of building a family this way and can offer informed support to your clients and patients.

Our professional membership costs just £40 per year or £4 per month  and provides:

Making It Real – workshop for professionals working with donor conception families

Do you work with recipients of donor gametes (with or without surrogacy), or with donor conception families? Our Making it Real workshop will deepen your own understanding of the ways in which creating a child using eggs, sperm or embryos from a third party, including with surrogacy, is different from standard fertility treatments.

This workshop is separate to DCN membership and there is a fee of £140 to attend (a discounted rate of £120 is available if booked in advance). The next workshop will be in spring 2025. We recommend you become a member or join our mailing list to find out when tickets go on sale as we have sold out the past three years.
