We are looking forward to welcoming you to DCN Volunteers’ Day 2026!

Join us for in person in London for a day of networking, catching up on DCN news, role-support and a chance for us to say a big THANK YOU to you all for the contributions that you make to the Network. The day will include:

* Coffee, tea and pastries on arrival
* Welcome, with highlights from 2025 and what’s new for 2026
* Meeting and networking with other volunteers to share ideas, challenges and achievements
* Volunteer training / Break-out sessions to talk through role-specific issues- details TBC
* Plenty of opportunities for questions and discussion

We’d love you to attend so we are offering:

* Travel expenses to attend the event – please book early to help us minimise costs. We have a limited budget so please check beforehand on big sums. To those of you outside the UK, if you would like to attend, please contact us to discuss how we can help.

* Crèche spaces – For those who can only attend if they bring their child, we are offering a limited number of free spaces for children 6 months to 8 years, so please register early

* Lunch and refreshments

Please book a free ticket for each adult attending and a creche ticket by age of child.

This is a DCN chat for couples, heterosexual or same-sex, who are new parents to babies born in 2025/6. DCN Chat is a peer support online get-together. The space will be open for you to connect with others and will be facilitated by Ian, who together with his wife, has one child concieved through egg donation who is 3 years old. Join us for a friendly opportunity to meet others at the same stage as you, for a place to grow friendships for you and your family. This DCN chat is for men only – in heterosexual couples, consideirng, undergoing treatment or dads through sperm donation. This Chat will be facilitated by Chris, dad to two children, conceived with sperm donation. DCN Chats offer a space for members to come together to talk about shared issues. This is a peer support online get-together. All our DCN Chat facilitators are members themselves, and hosting the chat as individuals. This is not a professionally led or educational event. Mixed families

You are invited to join us for a conversation for members who are either intending or have ‘mixed’ families – our term for those with a naturally conceived child (or adopted) and a donor conceived child, to talk about shared issues. This session is offered as a space to connect and reflect on the challenges and solutions which may arise in your DCN volunteer role. Some of the things we may talk about are: basic listening skills, managing a group and our own triggers. We are also inviting you to submit general questions of your own. This will be an opportunity for us to ‘put our heads together’ to work out some great strategies for our roles and beyond…

This is a DCN chat for solo mums through double or embryo donation- with children of all ages. Join this chat if you are pregnant/have children through double or embryo donation. ‘Reflections’ - Parents of DC Adults

You are invited to join the group for parents of DC adults. This group will be facilitated by Jane, one of our longterm members who also works with DCN. We are inviting parents of those with children who are adults. We hope this chat can offer an attuned space to the discussions that may be more relevant to the context in which children were conceived 20+ years ago, in a different climate to that which is now prevalent, with regards to openness in particular.
