The donor conception story extends beyond just the parents, the child and the donor. The wider family and community of both parents and donor are affected and often have questions or thoughts to share.

If you know someone who is going through fertility treatment using a sperm, egg or embryo donor, you may have questions yourself. You may wonder how to support a family member as they go through fertility treatment. You may wonder how to explain donor conception to your own friends and wider circle when they ask you about your grandchildren.

If you’re the partner or child of a donor, you may want to explore your feelings around that and think about how their donation affects you and your family.

There is a large network of people affected and interested and we want to recognise that and offer support and resources where we can.
