Books for children

For younger children

We believe that openness is best for families and so we encourage parents to tell their children early about their genetic origins. To help with this conversation, we created the Our Story range of books. Aimed at children from 0-7 years, the books explains in age-appropriate language how the parent or parents needed a little help to have a baby and how they used a donor. There are now over 40 variations to suit different family and donation types.

For children aged 8-12

We wanted to produce a book for children who have outgrown Our Story so we put together a great team with Beverley Ward’s fantastic writing talents and Spike Gerrell’s wonderful illustrations and “Archie Nolan: Family Detective” was born. It’s written in an irreverent, funny style and explores themes of family, difference and genetics.
